Choosing home schooling is difficult for a family, and doing so can have positive implications. There isn’t one kind of individual that feels the call of homeschooling; in fact, people of all kinds are participating in this growing movement. What kind of person is a successful homeschooling parent? One important thing to have is, simply, time. Beyond that, there is no one set of characteristics that you need to make your home school a success. Desire, tenacity, and time are your greatest ally.

Perhaps in your past, you’ve been a busy businessperson, trying to save money and economize in the office. You focused on locating business coupon to lower costs associated with communications. In other words, you focused hard on a goal – lowering costs – and you were able to see it through. Seeking out the best in business software coupons requires the same kind of focus you will need to have a thriving homeschool. You can look at your home school as a kind of business, if you want to!

To get started homeschooling, you need to determine how you want to design your curriculum. The days of sitting around the kitchen table with a “canned” curriculum are past. Many families will use bits and pieces of different curricula to create something that works for their family. Of course, there are many wonderful comprehensive curricula. However, don’t feel like this is your only option, because you can define for yourself what you think works.

Unschooling is the least restrictive style of homeschooling, where parents design learning experiences based on their child’s individual interests. Unschoolers rebuff the institutional setting of traditional schools because they believe that it drives away a love of learning. Another popular option is the “classical” education, a curriculum steeped in the long traditions of Western culture.

Still others turn to all-in-one curricula delivered online or through workbooks. Another option still is unit studies, where a subject is chosen from which all areas of learning are explored through that subject. For example, a family might study ancient Egypt, and explore the history, mathematics, and read stories.

As you can see, there is plenty to explore as you contemplate homeschooling. Explore the many options associated with homeschooling, and decide for yourself!

Many people are unaware of the hundreds of homeschooling, scholarship and grant and student loans opportunities available with many educational institutions that have developed financial assistance programs. Free online degree, for many subjects like forensics, options are therefore a chance that someone with a precarious financial situation can grasp. Convenient because of the flexibility of the program that allows one to have a job too, free online degree programs are a chance you should not miss. Even when you are employed, there are often too few chances to be able to afford the costs of education. Self-motivated students may thus access and enjoy grant programs.

Due to the improper access to information or due to the belief that too low grades or qualifications cannot earn them a scholarship, few people apply for free online degree programs. Certain educational systems target the non-traditional students while others are performance based. The funds provided for a free online degree do not require reimbursement, as it happens with student loans. The first to be able to access such grants are people with artistic skills, those who do community services, athletes or candidates for work fields where there is a crisis of specialists. Eligibility also extends to older women who want to take up college, the disabled or children of military personnel.

There are universities that allow access to free online degree opportunities on the basis of tests and contests. There are many free online degree resources that can help people learn about or choose the kind of financial assistance for which they qualify. This is probably the biggest challenge of the admission process. Before you can get access to a free online degree program, you have to file an application, fill in questionnaires and register with a university. Starting from the data you provide, you may be asked to come up with supplementary documents.

Free online degree directories provide most assistance to the interested candidate, allowing one to search according to personal criteria. The access to scholarships and grants can thus be achieved according to demographics, costs, colleges, programs and courses to study. With the help of a directory, you will manage to get a list of schools that have free online degree programs; plus, you will additionally receive the institutions' guidelines too. Do not destroy your chances of superior education by neglecting such free online degree availability from the beginning. If you don't try it, you lose from the start!

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

Home schooling your children? Is art part of your curriculum planning?

Including art in your daily lesson plans will ensure the best education for your kids
When I say good art I am not talking about the standard traditional arts and crafts that is done in so many preschool and kindergarten classrooms all over the world. If you are doing Kids Crafts then hopefully you are already doing crafts with your kids that does not make them into robots.

It is a s a result of classroom teachers lack of understanding of art for children, that causes them to resort to the same copycat crafts for kids.
But this can’t be what you want. Parents that choose home schooling over tradtional schooling are doing it because they want more for their kids
I'm sure if you knew that by following cookie cutter directions in making projects, it would turn them into robots, you would not want that for your children. Am I right?
What I’m really talking about here is not only good crafts for kids but real art that often gets lost in the shuffle.
That's too bad because art adds such depth to any curriculum that it would be a crying shame as you are at home and are able to give such great activities to your children .
Art is wonderful and exciting and adds great skills. Here are five good skills that art adds to any curriculum
1. Art will help build physical coordination- Art is good for both gross motor coordination AND fine motor coordination. Gross motor skills and fine motor skills when using their large and fine muscles in activities like cutting, painting, coloring and drawing.
2. Emotional development is addressed-. Pounding on clay is better than pounding on a sibling, as is coloring furiously better than pinching. When children have art to use at their will, they can work through traumas like family death and fires much more easily
3. Intellectual development can be tied in- Children learn to make sense of their world as they use art to count, classify, sort, make their own decisions and learn to follow directions without doing cookie cutter art.
4. Creativity is tremedously affected-Of course children's creativity takes a flying leap if they are allowed to do art that allows them to create at their own level, which allows them to be creative in more ways than one
5. Integrating curriculum happens naturally- And last but not least art in a home schooling curriculum can help integrate the curriculum and help them learn. By adding art into the childrren's curriculum at home and accessing their five senses, the more their curriculum will stay with them for life.
You may want to check out this post on creativity in art Are flowers always red and green which is sort of a takeoff on the famous song by Harry Chapin “Flowers are red”.

Despite the availability of free tutoring online in a wide range of subjects, private tutors are still being hired all the time. Information that can be found on the internet can be very helpful but generally requires the person who is studying to be very self-motivated. Private tutoring helps direct the student in the appropriate direction so that time spent searching though endless websites is minimized. In order to be a successful tutor, however, there are certain qualities that should be possessed.

Private tutors first and foremost need to be experts in their field. They have to have a strong knowledge of whatever subject they are teaching, and if they don't know enough to be considered an expert, then they should at least be proficient enough to meet the learning needs of the people they are tutoring. For example, a math tutor does not necessarily need to have mastered university-level math in order to tutor high school students, but they should then be very proficient in high school math.

Tutors are also usually not certified as teachers. Those who have teacher certification tend to find work as teachers, working in classrooms with large numbers of students. Typically, tutors are university students who do tutoring work as a way to earn income. They may be planning on becoming a teacher after university, and tutoring is an easy way to get teaching experience. Or, they may be tutoring others in their chosen field, as a way to strengthen their knowledge of that particular subject, or to use their background to earn money.

Aside from background requirements, those who offer private tutoring need to be able to work well in a one-on-one situation with people. A private tutor implies that there will only be one person being taught, so it is important that the tutor be comfortable working with someone else, and possess the ability to motivate and properly adjust their tutoring techniques to meet the needs of the person they are being paid to help.

Tutoring is not for everyone and private tutors tend to be somewhat similar in their experience levels and interests. As stated, most tutors will be university students who have enough knowledge of a particular subject to effectively teach someone in a class beneath their level. They are also people who work well in one-on-one situations and have some ability to teach others. Ideally, they will be people who have a passion to help others learn, and if they want to be successful, they will be able to produce positive results.

Jeremy Larson is a foremost expert in the natural acid reflux remedies. He has had extensive experience and conducted countless experiments in finding natural remedy for acid reflux. He is also a highly acclaimed writer in the medical field.

I have observed over the past couple of years home school parents making huge sacrifices for the benefit of their children. Home school parents are truly and altruistic bunch. I have also witnessed some parents that for numerous reasons do not provide the necessary high caliper education that is necessary for children to become successful.

Some parents lack the education and knowledge, some are simply unorganized, and others do not define clear goals. The outcome is the same, the child suffers.

The best way to remedy this situation without having to spend huge amounts of money on private tutoring, high dollar curriculum or returning to school yourself is to take advantage of the new wave of home school software.

But grades are important and do have meaning. Remember that the subject grades and degrees are granted on the basis of a specified level of learning or achievement, not just merely attendance. For education and degrees to be meaningful, some system of measurement must be used. Grades are one such system. Comprehensive written exams are another. Oral examinations are also a possibility. But all these methods contain an element of subjectivity to determine passing or failing.

Home school software allows your children to be prepared, whether it be prepared for the next grade or for college entrance exams. Anything that can help give your child an edge in the competitive world is priceless. And, anything that can make the frazzled fragmented life of a home school parent easier and more effective is priceless.

Some students mistakenly think that a prospective employer cares only about the degree, not the grades. Certainly the degree is key, but so are the grades. In any competitive job market, an employer would consider the grade point average and specific grades as an indicator of a person drive, ability and learning level

Most of the people today go to public schooling. However, homeschooling has started to become more and more popular. The parents got a choice to teach their kids from home. In fact, with the internet technology readily available now to most home, accessing homeschooling information from home is never easier. All you need is a computer and Internet connection to get into the world of homeschooling.

Public schools vs home schools can be truly a great life experience. The kid gets to understand the meaning of interaction with their peers. I have attended public school since young. The process is enjoyable.. Of course, there are good and also the bad experiences. But the process is fun. Regardless, more and more these days, parents who wishes to homeschool their children will need to be informed properly of the relevant homeschooling information how they can approach it in the right manner.

The key to a successful coaching is tenacity. You need to be discipline and stick to a program to properly school your kid. You can find great homeschooling info from internet. Reading up on these readily available information will help one answer many questions such as "Are you qualified to teach your kid?", or "Are you truly going to challenge your children just as the teacher would if they are in a public school?".

Some parents will find it much more convenient to homeschooling their kid, or the safety of their child. All these reasons are valid. However, you cannot ignore the fact that your child need to interact with their peers as they grow. This help to faciliate their learning of social skills. Your child's education is a big decision to consider for you as parent. Make sure you make the right and informed choice.

Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, the two main types of motiavtion, are an important part of the learning process. Intrinsic motivation comes from an underlying interest in what is being learnt while extrinsic motivation relates to external influences.

Some students have their own motivation, other students need to be motivated to learn. Teachers can employ a range of methods in order to motivate students. Below are some strategies that may motivate students.

- Produce a supportive environment and establish a trusting bond by being friendly with students, interacting with them and showing a genuine concern about them as individuals.

- Highlight the links that exist between effort and outcome.

- Regularly give them reminders that learning is something that requires patience, and that results may take time to see.

- Break down the process of learning into digestible pieces for students to take in.

- Reduce students performance worries during study activities.

- Try and make sure that activities given provide a reasonable challenge. They should be neither too easy or too difficult.

- Weak students are accustomed to seeing failure so they must be helped to feel success on a more regular basis.

- Learners are more likely to be motivated when they appreciate the worth of what they are learning, and when they believe that they will succeed by applying reasonable effort.

The attitude of the teacher is also key in relation to dealing with students. Attitude applies to everything that a teacher says or does in class. It pertains to a teachers approach, awareness and understanding.

They should develop an action plan in terms of their relationship with their students. It should be flexible, measurable and realistic. Whilst it would be beneficial to write this down, it is most important to have it set in their mind; either way they must be sure to adhere to it.

Home Schooling Overview : Benefits of Home Schooling

There's an interesting movement taking place across America these days. While all over the world tensions are heating up over wars and saber rattling, while the collective economies worldwide are in shambles and while most of the rest of the world, it would seem, are on their Internet blogs, a small, but growing number of parents are beginning to home school their children.

Most families can't afford to lose one of their regular paychecks. Part-time, night or weekend work can supplement, but most of the time it won't be enough. There are a few ways around this that we can discuss. Some of these might work for some couples, but not for others. If you want to homeschool you might just have to get creative to get the job done. If may not be an ideal situation, but it's not forever.

Home schooled children have a higher rate of high school graduation, a higher rate of college attendance, and a higher rate of college graduation.

Homeschooling is About More Than the Education

But for some families, a better education isn't the only reason to homeschool. Protection from the harsh world that encourages deviation from a successful path is another, as is the opportunity to strengthen the family.

Others find jobs with either flexible hours or hours that fit the homeschooling method they want to teach by. There are single people who make the time to homeschool in their off hours and on weekends. It might also be that one parent works on a different shift schedule than the other. This way they can take turns teaching when they're off and share the load. This also allows parents to take a part of the curriculum they feel strongest in teaching.

The second reason to home school given above really needs no explanation. Parents merely want more structure and faith to enter into their children's education. That's their prerogative.

And the third reason is actually self-explanatory also. Parents just don't feel their school systems live up to their expectations for a quality education. They would rather sacrifice their time and money than short their child's education. A noble expression of love.

Elementary home schooling, preschool homeschooling and even high school homeschooling are on the rise in America. And for all the right reasons

If I say "Hola!" you probably know I'm saying "hello", but can you guess how good my pronunciation is? That’s exactly why audio classes are essential when learning Spanish, or any language at all.
The best way to get excellent audio classes is with Spanish online learning.

You may well be hearing Spanish spoken all the time, but trying to follow along at conversational speed is very hard for a learner. To build up to that level of fluency the beginner needs to gain confidence first with simple, slower paced audio classes, as found in Spanish online learning.

Free tasters of Spanish online learning!

There's no better way to improve your accent at the same time as growing your word list than by using Spanish audio lessons. You should really start as you mean to go on, so listening is as important as reading when learning a new language. The immersion technique is great when you have built up some conversational Spanish, but may seem a little overwhelming for a beginner.

Basic step by step Spanish online learning will ease you into understanding and give you a head start on a great accent. You can repeat the beginners audio classes as much as you want to, listen and chorus until you are ready to move on. And almost all courses give away some sort of free lessons, the best even offers a free six day trial course.

The bulk of a Spanish online learning course will often be the audio classes, usually available as an MP3 download. Video lessons, games based software and a members forum for support are also part of the higher quality courses. And you can even print out the transcripts to read along with the audio lessons too, truly multi-media classes.

Spanish online learning - From beginning to end!

The variety of classes, and the choice of how and when to use them is what makes Spanish online learning so flexible. Not struggling with classes that just don't suit you, not having to skip classes you can't make this week, all helps with learning faster than with traditional methods. Learning this way is so convenient and easy you will never find it boring, instead you will want to go on working through more and more.

And once you have mastered basic, conversational Spanish there are courses available that will take you on towards becoming totally fluent. Some courses are aimed at practical Spanish without getting into grammar and verb conjugations. If you want to learn the Spanish of Latin America as opposed to European Spanish there are courses just for that. And there are complete courses that will take you right through to advanced level in one easy program. There are even programs available that make Spanish verb conjugations a snap!

Obviously, as quick and simple as Spanish online learning makes it, in order to become fluent in Spanish you will still need to make the effort. But it will be so much fun you won't feel like you’re learning!

You are learning Spanish, and you are getting along quite nicely. But perhaps your pronunciation isn't quite as good as it should be? Or perhaps you're having problems with your accent?

Or maybe you are just considering learning Spanish, and wondering which method will work best for you? Either way the answer is the same one.

Just get hold of some high quality Spanish audio lessons and right away you will start improving your Spanish.

Let me give you my top ten reasons for using Spanish audio lessons.

1) Instant Improvement - You can download them straight from the internet, or order them on CD, but either way, immediately you begin using them you will notice a dramatic improvement in your Spanish. There is just no faster way to set about improving your Spanish.

2) Pronunciation and Accent - Any good Spanish audio lessons will be delivered by native Spanish speakers. You can listen and learn, developing a good accent and the correct pronunciation as you go.

3) Convenience - The brilliant thing about audio lessons is that you can use them anywhere, anytime. No more carting books around, no waiting for weekly classes. Download to your MP3 player, or burn to CD, and continue your lessons while you are on the go.

4) Bite Size Lessons - Mostly you will find that audio lessons have a brief running time. This doesn't just fit into your day easier, it is also proven to be a better learning method than using one longer lesson. You will undoubtedly find that you learn more from six 20 minute audio lessons, than you would from a 2 hour traditional class.

5) Stimulation - Our brains are hard wired to learn faster from human interaction than from abstract learning methods. Learning Spanish with audio lessons engages your brain with the human voice, and your repetition of the spoken words completes the process.

6) Double Reinforcement - Reading along with the printed version of the lesson while listening to the audio, you gain another level of reinforcement. Ears and eyes working together, your brain is getting double the stimulation, for double the learning power.

7) Triple Reinforcement - Use the power of repetition to the full. Run through the classes time and again, even if not paying full attention you will be surprised how much you absorb. When you come back to the lesson you will be speaking without thinking!

8) Building Blocks - With good courses the lessons will be arranged in such a way that you are not only building your vocabulary, but learning conversational Spanish at the same time.

9) Easy Grammar - Learning the vocabulary of a new language is difficult enough, but taking in the grammar and verb conjugations is a major task. With audio lessons you should find that you are absorbing the grammar rules without even noticing it. And verb conjugation will come just as easily as you advance to the next level.

10) Echo/Chorus Repeat - The method used by the bulk of Spanish audio lessons, because it has been shown to be the most effective language learning process. Repeat, repeat, repeat your way to success!

I hope I've given you enough reasons to begin some Spanish audio lessons right away. Just in case you're not quite convinced here's one last reason...

11) Free Lessons ! - Maybe the best reason of all to give it a try, you can start for free. Almost all the reputable courses will let you have a few sample lessons free. Try a few and pick the one you get on with the best.

This highly recommended program offers a 6 lesson mini course worth $27 as a free taster, well worth checking out to begin with.

Get started soon, don't put it off!
PS To save you time just check out our recommendations of the best Spanish audio lessons here.

Regardless, more and more these days folks are short of homeschooling info. Perhaps they're a homebody parent, or just wish to provide their own style of education for their child.

Nothing is as important to academic achievement as the ability to read well. However, there is more to being a good reader than just being able to read the words accurately. Just as important, is the ability to understand what has been read. Here is some advice on ways to help your children become more effective readers.

Special time – set aside a regular time to read to or with your children every day. Research shows that reading aloud regularly with your children will produce significant gains in reading comprehension, vocabulary and the decoding of words.

Provide what they need - surround your kids with reading material whether bought or borrowed from friends or the local library. Children who have access to a large array of reading material in their homes score higher on standardized tests. Tempt your kids to read by having a large supply of appealing books and magazines at their reading level. Put the reading materials in cars, bathrooms, bedrooms, family rooms and even by the TV.

Establish a family reading period – set aside a 15 to 30 minute daily time-slot when everyone in the family reads together silently. Seeing you read will inspire your children to read. Just 15 minutes of daily practice is adequate to increase their reading fluency.

Read everywhere - make reading a fundamental part of your children's lives. Have them read menus, road signs, game directions, weather reports, movie and television time listings, and other practical everyday information. Also, make sure they always have something to read in their spare time - for example when they could be waiting for appointments or riding in a car.

Join the library - entice them to read more by taking them to the library every few weeks to choose new reading material.

Gain knowledge – be informed about your children's progress. Note what reading skills they are expected to have at each grade level. The school's curriculum will give you this information. Track their progress in acquiring basic reading skills on report cards and standardized tests.

Be alert – look out for reading problems. Teachers for a variety of reasons do not always detect every child’s reading problem until they have become serious. Find out if your children can sound out words, know sight words, use context to identify unknown words and clearly understand what they read.

Get help – if you feel your child has reading problems, make sure he or she receives necessary help from teachers, tutors, or learning centres as soon as you discover an issue.

Variety is the spice of life - to help your children improve their reading, use textbooks, computer programs, books-on-tape and other materials available in stores. Games are especially good choices because they let little ones have fun as they work on their skills.

Reward their efforts – praise will go a long way to encouraging your children to read, however there are many rewards that will motivate them even further and they need not cost very much at all. Consider maybe printing a certificate for them; a quick Google search for ‘reading award’ should result in a few options that you could print and fill in with your child’s name. Stickers are good motivators too and coloring pages are well received as well. At sites like Hello Kitty Coloring Pages you’ll find the best Hello Kitty coloring pages while little boys would perhaps enjoy the coloring sheets at Pokemon Coloring Pages.

Be interested - show enthusiasm for your children's reading. Your feedback has a great effect on how hard they will try to become good readers. Be sure to give them genuine praise for their effort.

Reading can expand children's thinking. Words and books can excite them. Stories can inspire them to create their own works. When you help your child to become a good reader, you are doing many things: you are enriching is creativity, his knowledge and his academic future too.

There is a large distinction when it comes to the community view on homeschooling. Some are fervent supporters, although some do not find it in the highest interest of kids. And to weight out the pros and cons of homeschooling, a list of advantages and disadvantages of this choice way of teaching is set up.

Whichever way, if it is in actual fact the best of the learners that is at their followers and detractors hearts; why not take into account what the pupil actually needs in order to achieve learning success whether in the public and personal learning method or through homeschooling.

Taking the side of homeschooling, it is essential to appraise and pinpoint the needs of the students, their interest, the learning ways that best stimulates their inquisitiveness and inquisitiveness. This is the only answer to a professional homeschool education - addressing what the homeschooled teen requires.

In homeschooling students, the instructors may be in the form of the parents or a instructor ought to be able to commit a time for education. And homeschooling, with all the planning, will in fact take up a good deal of time. A teen might have to be given a stringent time timetable for learning, and time for playing too.

Homeschooled students are criticized to be less outgoing individuals. Undeniably, socialization is a most important feature in developing the personality of a teen. Having this in mind, instructors must provide attention to the teen getting together with new kids separately from the home.

All children mature at their individual pace. Let kids be children. Recognize that they are experiencing the world for the first time. Get involved and be interested in what interests the youngster. If it is in the arts and crafts area, then focus on that. Not only will it help the teacher promote rapport with the young person, but this will possibly also encourage and motivate the kid to be taught unique things. Present the kid some space to mature and expand on his own with proper counseling. Of course education is important for adults.

The effort of homeschooling children will in no way be too much. It is relentless striving to attend to the children's wishes and this will really fluctuate as you go along. Students grow and advance, and sooner or later will be interested in unique things. And as soon as this time comes, the instructor ought to always be ready to cater to the children's requirement for education. Read more on the reason why education is important.

home schooling curriculum

It has been said that parents can teach their children all they need to know with nothing more than a library. While this could very well work for some people, it seems that most parents feel better about teaching their children when they have a professionally prepared homeschool curriculum to follow.

For new homeschooling parents, it can truly seem a daunting task to try to choose the right home schooling curriculum for the needs of the particular family unit and individual students. Usually parents have already been through quite a lot of rigorous study and contemplation before deciding to pursue home schooling with their children, and at that point they are often simply at a loss for knowing how to select the most effective and comprehensive curriculum.

Soon, homeschooling parents can learn that there is so much on the market in the way of homeschool curriculum, that it actually makes the decision even tougher as they deal with information overload.

And, thrown into the middle of the mix is the need to be sure that the specific requirements for the state they live in are met and that their homeschoolers are properly prepared for any of the standardized tests that they will be required to take through the local school system.

Those veteran parents who have a few years under their belts of homeschooling children will lend kind words of support to the newcomers and willingly share their choices in homeschool curriculum, voicing their opinions and giving their real-life experiences of the materials.

Sometimes this can be most helpful in narrowing down the choices, while for some people this simply adds to the confusion regarding the matter. And, while parent reviews are helpful, it should always be remembered that your children may need a different lesson plan and structure than others do. After all, this is one of the main reasons people choose to homeschool, to be able to create more individualized learning paths for their children.

The best route for a parent who is new to homeschooling children is to go slowly, take sufficient time to study the options and consider each child's style of learning and motivational draws, stay flexible and open, and above all, listen to your parental instincts. While many companies design, package and market homeschool curriculum that has been developed by professionals, remember that it is the parent who knows their child better than anyone.

In making a decision about home schooling curriculum, avoid getting into a position where you have to make a decision in a panic. This will usually result in a purchase that is more about having something to keep your student busy than what is designed to best meet their needs. This can be a waste of money and a frustration for both parents and homeschoolers alike.

Homeschool conferences and fairs are a good way to gather a great deal of information about the homeschool curriculum options that are out there. There is also the opportunity to meet many other homeschooling parents and also meet the representatives of the curriculum publishers giving you a great chance to ask questions and get additional information.

When you think your child is ready, it might be a good time to start turning those scribbles he makes on paper (and on the wall!) into something a little more legible. Here is a step by step approach - the pace of which will vary from child to child...

Firstly, teach your child basic writing concepts. These will help him or her be ready for letter formation and lined paper.

So for example, explain the directional terms of right and left, up and down, top, middle and bottom. Help your child distinguish between round and straight lines. Print the letters in your child's first and last names.

Help him practice them one at a time in a fun way. Do his first name first – his surname later. For instance, encourage your child to print the letters with his index finger in the air or in sand when in a sand box or at the beach. Teach him as well that when he writes his name, the first letter is always a capital and the remaining letters are lowercase.

Guide letter formation. So for instance, if you’re writing his name in a tray or rice, foam or flour, hold your child's hand first to demonstrate proper name writing mechanics. Emphasize that letters are formed from top to bottom. Sound out each letter in your child's name while he is writing it.

Next in the learning process is showing your child how to hold a pencil. Use a thick writing instrument/tool such as an oversized pencil or crayon. These afford little hands better control. Proper form is important. Unfortunately it is very difficult to unlearn poor pencil posture.

Once the above has been mastered, introduce lined paper and ask your child to print his name on the line. A good way to encourage this is to have him or her write his name on the art he creates. For example on coloring sheets – if you have a girl, then a sites like Fairy Coloring Pages you’ll find the best fairies to color.

Writing his name on art and coloring sheets - preferably along a line - will provide practice in controlling the pencil and prepare him or her for the lined paper he’ll eventually encounter at school.

You have learned enough basic Spanish. You are able to converse with native speakers with no major mess-ups. That's hardly sufficient for you. You haven't the time to go to night classes to reach the fluency you have as your goal.

What do you do?

You have two choices. You could stick with your basic understanding of Spanish and go about life feeling unfulfilled or, you can do something about that yearning for fluency.

Why would I want to become fluent in Spanish when I already know enough to get by?

You are planning to go on vacation to a Latin American country and you would like to learn at least a bit, preferably more, of the language before you get there!

Where do you start out looking for help?

You may have been told that picking up a new language is a very difficult thing to achieve. Although that can be so in some instances, it isn't the case with Spanish, even the Latin American type.

At school we did the basics of Spanish...

surely for a brief visit to Latin America I can get by without learning Latin American Spanish?
A large number of people think like that, they simply assume the text book Spanish they picked up in high school will be sufficient for them in Latin America.
That is not so unfortunately.

Classic or, textbook Spanish is much different to true Latin American or, street Spanish. As soon as you begin speaking to Latin Americans in classic Spanish, they will know you are not from their neck of the woods. You may as well be speaking double Dutch.

Latin America has its own delicate form of Spanish.
The feel of Latin America is a vibrant, vivacious one, mirrored in it's language.

There's much rich history in the places and people.

The food is rich with flavor.

The Language is rich with meaning.

How can you improve your Spanish?

A good starting point is with audio language courses. Lots of them even offer a few free Spanish lessons. Nowadays Spanish students, no matter what age or nationality are benefiting from fast and easy, learn Latin American Spanish courses, that are instantly available in down-loadable format through the WWW.
They are set up in such a way as to help you learn faster and more efficiently.

You shouldn't feel intimidated by learning the Spanish language.
The fact is learning the Spanish language that is native to Latin America is not only simple but rapid and fun too.

You can download an audio course to improve your Spanish. Immediately you will find large areas of improvement in your basic Spanish.

What a magical language Spanish is.

It can be enriched greatly if you learn Latin American Spanish which is geographically unique.
You will increase in confidence, knowledge and understanding with each new word you learn.
As your confidence grows communicating your thoughts and understanding the replies becomes easier, you will want more than ever to learn Latin American Spanish.

Mastering the ability to communicate fluently in a new language will astound and amaze your friends and family, you will be seen as a confident person, not afraid to try something new.
You will be held in greater regard by local Spanish speakers. You are making the effort to learn their language so as to understand their people and culture, you will no longer be a simple gringo, but a much esteemed visitor.

Your decision to learn Spanish won't be regretted. But if you decide not to do it you'll always regret it!

We wish you all good luck in your journey to learn Latin American Spanish!

LMS online coursework aids students in their development of strong independent study skills, and teaches them how to motivate themselves. But something many people don't realize is that e-learning has shifted from an independent study to an interactive experience.

Oftentimes, a professor or trainer's teaching style can make or break a face-to-face course. Students' degree of interest in whatever the subject may be can be lowered by an uninspired teaching style. In the same way, an engaging professor or trainer can give life to even the simplest or dullest subject.

What makes the latter situation even more exciting is often the space allowed for student collaboration and interaction with the learning material. This instructive trend is increasingly valued and practiced in online learning. John Milton spoke of the importance of free discussion when he said, nearly 400 years ago: "Give me the liberty to know, to utter, and to argue freely according to conscience." One feature that often distinguishes university classrooms is the space it often allows for exciting discussion, dissent, and debate.

Even though in some traditional higher education classrooms, instructors still choose a format in which students are not encouraged to speak, virtual classrooms are becoming much more interactive.

Many course topics, of course, aren't suitable for classroom discussion. For example, there may not be a great need for student interaction in calculus class. But for many online courses, space for student discussion is in fact suitable. With student-led discussions, learners become familiar with the course content and develop their own ideas effectively and quickly.

With the increasing use of Web 2.0 tools in online learning, e-learning has matured from its early days as a solitary enterprise. Using LMS 's and Web 2.0, learners can "utter" and "argue freely according to conscience" just as Milton encouraged everyone to do. Discussion forms, wikis, and other tools offer a convenient, simple, and comfortable space for students to have a voice.

They also prompt more sophisticated and democratic discussions. LMS online courses which use Web 2.0 tools offer a dynamic and engaging space for optimal student learning.

You want to learn to speak Spanish, but you don't want to spend months, if not years, on it. Where do you set out? The best way to learn at home at your speed is to use your laptop and download a Spanish course. There are plenty of programs that give lessons to anyone needing to learn Spanish. It is an advantage to be able to download a Spanish audio course and learn at home rather than having to go to a classroom to learn.

Are there advantages to downloading an audio course?

Why have so many people begun studying at home by downloading the audio? Going at your speed is one of the main pluses. There is much more flexibility than if you are studying in class and being watched over by your tutor. There's no worries about dropping behind, as you can stop and start the classes as you like, picking up wherever you left off. Another good benefit is you get to hear native speakers, and learn modern Spanish. To be certain that you download a good quality Spanish course, there are some things you need to bear in mind.

Firstly think about the expense.

As far as prices go, keep within your budget. Although learning a second language is really useful we don't want to spend far too much achieving that. Going back to school will always be expensive, and time consuming.
So a complete and well priced course you can download is always going to be your best move. Take the total price into account, and if you think it's the right course for you, go for it!

Secondly search for good reviews.

Look at the write-ups of customers with the course you are thinking of starting. Read independent reviews also. A little bit of research goes a long way.

Thirdly ease of use.

This is a really important point if you are a beginner to computers. Be sure to pick a course that you can easily follow. Even if you are more experienced, a fun, informal format will speed up learning.

Lastly make sure of computer compatibility.

Nearly all modern Spanish Audio couses are compatible with all up to date computers. Make sure your PC and operating system are compatible with the course you want to download.

Where to download Spanish audio courses?

So, all said and done, what course could come anywhere near matching all the points brought up so far, and where do you find it? You can search the Internet for years trying to teach yourself Spanish, but there is one program that we strongly recommend. The highly rated Rocket Spanish lets you download Spanish audio classes, and learn at your own speed.

For a lot of people listening to the spoken word is the best way to learn a new language. This learning method will help the majority do just that. Become more proficient in real spoken Spanish. No matter where you are or what you are doing these audio classes assist you in learning. You can learn in your home, on your sidewalk, in the office or while relaxing in a cafe or at the bar.

With downloaded audio classes on your mp3 player you can learn anywhere. You can play back each lesson until you're happy. Follow PDFs to reinforce the audio lessons. Learning by varied methods will improve your overall learning ability.

It will astonish you how speedily you will be speaking Spanish.

Download a Spanish course now and start learning! Click here for the top rated courses

How a student grows up to become is the result of how his teachers moulded him to become. But if the teachers are not able to do their part well in shaping the students, the fate of the society will be affected.

The teachers have a crucial role in building the perceived future of their students. In the event that the students are misguided during their formative years, then the teachers have a huge responsibility for the future of the students.

The future of a student relies on the kind of education his teachers granted him. Hence, the educators should provide only the best fostering to their students.

It is reality that the quality of public education in the United States is put on challenge until these days. The image of public school educators is being criticized because of the surging malicious incidents involving their credibility and competence in the classroom.

More stains are smudged on the image of the teachers in the public schools these days. That is why the quality of public education has gone unimpressive through the years.

There is a considerable number of things to be done to “clean up” the quality of public education in the country. Competency and adherence to standards comprise the attack against teachers’ performance in many public schools.

Almost over a decade back, public school teachers were found to have “betrayed” and deceived the students and their parents through the former’s unprofessional conduct in school, based on research. There existed teaching malpractice by the way they ran and managed the supposed standard procedures such as test administering. It was found out that students were allowed to bring home their tests as home-works; students could take tests even beyond the allotted time; students who were considered poor in academics were discouraged from taking tests; students were given grades higher than their actual performance; and lastly, the teachers were not reprimanded for such misconduct and policy violations.

Researches are conducted to assess the real conduct and performance of the teachers behind the parent’s backs. Many years have passed and infamous issues continue to assault the reputation of teachers. The public education has gone multi-directional, meaning; teachers tend to deviate from the standard policies and procedures in implementing academic requirements. Research found out that there are educators who would allow students to bring home tests; would tolerate students to take the tests beyond the allotted duration; poor performing students were kept back from taking tests; grades given would be higher than actual performance—and such teachers would not be given sanctions for their dishonest unprofessional conduct.

Professional misconduct of teachers has shaken the public education because of the results of investigative research conducted in some cities in the country. Teachers were found out to have deviated from the norm of academic excellence as students were allowed to take their tests home; go beyond the prescribed test duration; students were given higher scores than actual performance—while no sanction was given to such malpractice.

The issue on unprofessional conduct of educators should be addressed right away regardless of how rampant it is because of the pressing effect it brings to the quality of public education. The most appropriate way to combat the problem is through a learning management system. Record-keeping, performance management, and other academic and non-academic tasks can be handled with convenience and efficiency through the LMS software. The LMS will allow centralization and standardization of all academic-related materials released to the students such as test questionnaires, manuals, and others. The centralization of information sharing through the internet will promote virtual learning to students and virtual management for educators. As such, compliance with the school’s standards is guaranteed among teachers, parents, students and the administrators. The LMS also provides a performance management feature that will monitor the conduct and behaviour not only of students, but also of teachers. This will guarantee the parents that the teachers are abiding by the school’s standard procedures. LMS can measure the performance of each students, hence will provide accurate grades in accordance to the actual inputs.

The issue on unprofessional conduct of educators must be terminated right away as it contributes to the deterioration of public education quality. A learning management system is the best solution to the degenerating dilemma. An LMS will help schools manage and track the academic and administrative prerequisites such as record-keeping, information sharing, etc. The educators and students can be monitored and assessed through the LMS software. The administrators can make the academic activities standard as the LMS can be practiced through the Internet. The parents and students are assured of the teachers’ compliance to school standards. The curriculum and syllabus are made available online that will let the students and parents know what to expect. The performance of teachers and students can also be monitored through the performance management feature of the LMS. For the grading system, the parents will no longer worry about incredible grades because the LMS can quantify the actual performance of each student according to work inputs.

Teaching malpractice is not in any way acceptable, so it has to stop. The key to resolving the problem is a learning management system or LMS. The school can be guided and aided by LMS as software in terms of performance, training and education management. The web, as the central hub, can accommodate standardized academic and administrative requirements. Parents no longer need to worry about the credibility of the teaching approach and methodology of educators since information source is made standard and official. The parents are assured of an honest performance of teachers and their children through the performance management feature of the LMS. Lastly, the actual performance of each student can me measured since the LMS has such capability, thus ensuring accurate grading system.

The issue on teaching misconduct can be resolved through a learning management system to save the public education system in the country.

Through a learning management system, the image of public education can be saved, uplifting the credibility of the educators in the country.

Public education system can be improved by adopting a learning management system.

I believe that deep inside, everyone would like to be able to sing better. Singing is such a basic and instinctive form of human expression. It's not much different to asking a person if he'd like to expressing himself better. Pretty much everyone would answer yes to that.

The other great thing about being able to sing well is that not many people can, so it helps you to stand out. This means that if you do learn to sing well, you'll enjoy a considerable amount of praise and admiration. I can't think of anyone who wouldn't enjoy being on the receiving end of a standing ovation after a live performance. Nothing can quite match up to that feeling. Ready to let your voice be heard, then get on over to this learn to sing at home website.

It's worth mentioning that people have different ambitions. Some strive for fame, driven by the desire to have 50 000 adoring fans cheering them on. For some folks being the front singer of a band would be a dream come true in itself. These days, more and more people would love to impress the judges in shows like American Idol. Who wouldn't want to impress their friends with awesome karaoke skills? But even if you want to sing to feel good about yourself and high on life that's a great reason to learn to sing today.

The fact is that learning to sing can do so much for you. While there are so many clear benefits in learning to sing, I can't for the life of me think of any disadvantages. Singing is good for the soul and apparently it's good for your health too. Singing will also do wonders for your confidence. It's simply a fantastic form of expression and offers you a way to be you.

So tell me, what's holding you back? So many people hold themselves back with fear and doubt. You're not alone if you don't feel comfortable with your voice. It's sad that so few people discover just how simple and fun singing lessons can be. Don't be fooled into thinking that singing is a natural talent that can't be learned. This is a common misconception, that is just not true!

Another barrier to learning to sing is the expense of private singing lessons. This used to be quite a legitimate excuse, but not these days. You see, nowadays there are so many excellent home study singing lessons available that there really is no financial excuse not be able to reach your singing dreams.

Here a some of the many great reasons why learning to sing at home is such a great idea. The clear advantage is the saving in cost when compared to private singing lessons. You can also schedule you singing practice whenever it suits you best. Don't forget that you can also access the singing lessons as often as you need to. You can load the audio onto an mp3 player and learn on the move. But surely the greatest benefit of home study singing courses is that you get to learn from the very best vocal coaches.

So there you go. Now you have a bunch of great reasons to sing and you've no good reasons not to. Click here to get started today.

With the growing popularity of home schooling, more and more styles and packages of Home School systems are entering the market. The upside is that parents who have decided to home school their children now have a lot more options and support material to choose from. The down side is that there is almost too much material for parents to go through and understanding the complexities of each option is difficult and makes deciding what course to follow more of a challenge. One popular choice is the A Beka home school which has developed by the Pensacola Christian College in Florida.

The Home School A Beka is Christian based with the aim of educating children in the values of the faith. It is very comprehensive in nature and very highly structured and is best for families who want the home schooling to be done around a formally structured framework. There are three different program options available.

1.	The A Beka Academy DVD program is a set of workbooks and accompanying DVDs that contain class room lectures that, as in regular classroom lectures, expand and clarify the material contained in the workbooks. This Program offers two options. This Program is completely accredited and is aimed at preparing students for college all work done by the student is sent to A Beka which maintains all records of a students work for purposes of grading, certification etc. The other option offers the same material but in this case all records are kept by the parents and it is a non accredited program. Since A Beka is not involved in record keeping, the second option costs less.
2.	The A Beka Academy Traditional Parent-Directed option is the same, but minus the DVDs. This is also a college preparatory program that is wholly accredited and that replaces the DVDs with detailed guides that explain to the parents how approach the syllabus. This allows more flexibility to the parents in how they approach various subjects. The parents send in all the work done by the children to A Beka who does the grading and also issues report cards – that are quite like a regular school, only everything happens from the home. The program operates on an academic year basis and parents are provided with regular updates on the children’s progress.
3.	The Text Books and Materials for Home Schooling provides only the curriculum and A Beka has no further role to play. All records are kept by the parents who evaluate the children’s performance and progress and since there is no academic year, parents can allow the children to learn at a pace that meets their individual requirements. Parents are free to order just parts of the program covering specific subject and combine what A Beka provides with other curricula from other sources.

If you are looking for a Christian based way of education, the A Beka Home School program offers a well structured program that creates a strong foundation in subjects like reading, writing and mathematics and sets highs standards for children to meet through their schooling years. Although the A Beka system is more expensive that many other Christian home school programs, its popularity attests the standards it sets.

Home schooling allows the parent and child to pick from three different approaches to teaching. Most home schooling programs are exposed to all three approaches at some point. In a public or private school, teachers always plan the curriculum with textbooks. They usually follow the textbook chapter by chapter, sometimes skipping around. Home school students are taught three ways: textbook driven instruction, theme driven instruction, and interest driven instruction.

Textbook driven instruction follows each subject chapter by chapter. It is very structured and organized, which makes this approach the easiest for parents new to home schooling. With families of several children in different grades, this type of teaching is more difficult because it is more time consuming. There is not much flexibility in learning topics or variety; it is more like traditional teaching. This type of teaching focuses on drills and rote memory, instead of understanding. If your child enjoys following a workbook and memorizing details and facts or is task oriented and has a long attention span, this is the approach for him/her.

On the other hand, if your child has an inquisitive nature about the world around him/her and asks a lot of “why” questions with plenty of imagination and creativity maybe an interest driven approach will suit him/her better. This approach is for those students that despise structure and routine and prefer variety and spontaneity. Although this approach requires little to no academic planning, it is difficult to document. The child learns naturally and immediately and chooses what they want to learn in a curious way. The child literally becomes an expert in the topics they prefer by incorporating their entire environment as a learning experience.

The theme home schooling programs driven approach focuses on topics and how subjects affect people and life. Planning a curriculum can take more time and requires creativity. This approach is the easiest with a group of children of varying ages. Subjects are integrated in a real life way. For instance, if you are learning about China, the older students can learn the language and history of the country while the younger students can learn the culture, music, and geography.

All three approaches to home school program are often incorporated when home schooling. A child’s individuality and curiosity for learning often takes over and parents can adjust their curriculum. The main concern that a parent should have is not whether or not the child is on task with other children his/her age, but if the child is learning and understanding new subjects everyday.
